Painting the lips can really complete a face painting design nicely. And some people like Paige Thompson (featured right) take it to the next level!
But when you just want to add some color to the lips to match the beautiful butterfly or mask you painted around the eyes you need to make sure that you’re doing it right.
When you are at a gig, painting face after face you have to think about hygiene. You don’t want to paint one child’s lips and then spread germs with your brush to the next person and every other person. But you don’t want to leave the lips bare either.
So… the one thing you need, to paint lip after lip hygienically are cotton swabs aka q-tips!
They are super cheap, disposable and are easy to use to apply paint on a small area like the lips.
And they’re easy to find. You can buy them at the supermarket or chemist.
Load your q-tip with paint, apply to the lip area then throw it away. Beautiful yet hygienic lip art. It’s too easy 🙂
