Established in 1992, Global Body Art is an innovative Australian company who have dedicated YEARS of research and development with makeup artists, performers, face painters, expert chemists and engineers to create their unique line of high quality face paints.
Global Body Art paints were used in the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games Ceremonies, and live secretly in the kits of hundreds of top face and body artists.
* All Standard, Metallic and Pearl Colors are completely FDA compliant. Neon colors, like in other brands, are made with pigments that have not been approved by the FDA to be used on cosmetics (the FDA has not tested them yet for cosmetic use) but they have been independently tested and have been determined safe for cosmetic use by independent laboratories. Following FDA guidelines these colors are labeled as a Special FX product to be used on prosthetics, clothing, etc.
What Face & Body Painters Say About Global Body Art:
“Global is different from other brands because of it’s intense and rich colors. It is very highly pigmented, with a less waxy base so it almost feels drier and is more matte looking.”
Global Body Art’s Cake Paints:
We have a wide and wonderful range of 32g cake paints in Matte (Standard), Metallic, Pearl and Neon colors. And if you want to sample some colors before getting the 32g size in all colors, then you can try our Sample Palettes.
“It does take more water to get the right consistency than other brands which may take a little time to get used to, but the pay off of intensely rich color is totally worth it.”
How To Apply Global’s Cake Paints & Wash Off:
Apply with a dampened brush or sponge. We recommend that you apply water to your brush or sponge and then load the makeup rather than spraying your paints. This line of makeup may require a bit more water than other brands. The first time you use some colors you might need to work the color with a little more water until your break the “waxy” barrier. Easily wash off with soapy water.
Our Favorite Global Body Art Colors!
With so many beautiful colors it’s is really hard to choose, but here are a some colors that stood out to us, we think they’re an absolute must in your kit that you can’t find from any of brand:
Standard Magenta: Global Body Art’s Magenta face paint is a MUST-HAVE color. We have yet to see any other brand make a magenta this awesome. It’s vibrant, opaque, thick, intense, bright, oh so gorgeous and positively glowing! It’s also super easy to wash off which is amazing for such an intense color. Magenta is a dark pink with a slight purple tinge and is fabulous on bold princess, butterfly and flower designs.
Standard Purple: Global Body Art’s Purple face paint is a dark, bold purple – we haven’t seen another purple this dark and intense from any other brand. It’s great alternative to Black for outlining, line work and detail when black is too strong especially if the design has Global Body Art Lilac, Teal, Pink and White which compliment each other very nicely.
Standard Yellow: Global Body Art’s Yellow face paint is a very strong deep bright yellow that almost looks like a neon yellow because of it’s intensity. It’s great for highlighting, it really pops and still looks opaque when used over dark colors.
Standard Green Deep: Global Body Art’s Green Deep face paint is a unique color. It’s a dark deep pine green color with blue undertones. Also looks great when blended with Global Body Art Lime Green, Yellow or Light Yellow.
Metallic Gold: Global Body Art’s Metallic Gold face paint is fit for any King or Queen. It’s not a dark brownish gold or a super yellow gold it’s somewhere in between. Opaque with a metallic finish. We haven’t seen a shade of gold like this from any other brand and are loving this unique color.
Pearl Blue: The Pearl Blue face paint from Global Body Art is a gorgeous shimmery medium blue. It’s super bold, intense and bright. Amazing to use on any “Frozen” or winter themed face painting designs. A must-have color in your kit.
Global Body Art’s Liquid Paints:
Global Body Art Liquid Face Paints have a unique property. They resist water better than a cake makeup and you can make bold dots and lines that won’t blend in to the colors beneath them.
Since the paint is very thick, it is hard to spill if the container knocks over. You can work out of the lid of the paint at your gigs.
You can also use these for sponging over stencils. You will get the right moisture consistency for clean stencil work.
Our Favorite Colors are Black and White for line work and details, Gold and Silver for bases and stencil work.
