For face painting you must only use cosmetic grade polyester glitter. Make sure the glitter you buy is for face and body use. The most popular types are loose glitter and gel glitters.
Do NOT use craft glitter, it is not the same and is not meant from the skin. Craft glitters can scratch the eyeball if it gets in the eye.
Glitter Dust aka Loose Glitter is a dry cosmetic grade polyester glitter. We have iridescent and neon loose glitters for face painting (as well glitters for glitter tattoos).
For best results apply the glitter on top of a face painting design while its still wet so the glitter will stick to the paint.
Iridescent Glitter is basically a glitter that is slightly opalescent and picks up the colors around it to blend and add sparkle to your face painting without the color of the glitter standing out too boldly. Our iridescent glitters come in a Poofer Bottle. Hold the poofer bottle 1-3 inches from the design/skin, gently squeeze and ‘POOF’ the glitter will sprinkle evenly and finely over the area.
Neon Glitters glow under black light/UV light and come in small containers in different colors.
Our cosmetic grade polyester Gel Glitters are made with Aloe Vera and cosmetic glitter in a 1/2oz bottle.
It includes small metal tip for application. This metal tip gives you awesome precision when applying the glitter gel. You can create thin lines of glitter, straight or curved, or even dots with the gel glitter!
If you do get a clog in your applicator tip, remove it and soak it in hot water for a while. Then use running water or a pin to remove any dried gel.
Use it to highlight or outline your designs. Instantly make your designs stand out from average face painting! They are wonderful for a 3-D effect and lots of shine.
