Today’s tip is from Ester Kallasmaa-Davis one of our awesome fans on Facebook! She gives her secret to painting symmetrical designs below:
“When doing symmetrical style designs…start on the OPPOSITE side of the face that your painting hand is at, ie if you are RIGHT handed…start painting on the LEFT… when doing the design on the left first…a right handed person can then easily glance to the left, without obstruction, to copy the work on the right. (Lefties…start on the right!)
Sample: NOTE-I DID say I was LEARNING!!!!! I am right handed.
Black I painted right side first then the left…I even managed to screw up the second swirl placement (see “oops”)
White: I did the left side first and then the right…the work isn’t great but they match FAR better than the first and was MUCH easier to work on… Thank you…”
