how do you face paint a riendeer

5 Brenda Shelton December 15, 2009 at 12:48 pm

Hi Logan

I do a cute little cheek art version of Rudolph that is more cartoon-like but the kids love it.  Here’s how you would paint it:

Start with two brown ovals, one on top of the other and overlapping.  Next add two “leaf” like ears on either side of the top oval.  Using Wolfe White, paint two letter “F”s on top and between the ears…remember to reverse the second F.  Still using white, paint two small ovals touching each other in the top brown oval for his eyes and then a mouth shape in the oval below.  Now draw two white candy cane shapes on either side of the lower oval.  Using red, paint a big red circle to the right of the mouth and make small red lines in your candy canes.  Using black, make two small traingular shapes on the candy canes for Rudolphs hooves, draw in two small circles for his eyes and make teeth lines for his smile…see photo.  I then outline the entire picture in black for a finsihed look.  Using colors of your choice, make small little ovals in his antlers and connect them with a black line for the cord.  Finish it with red gliiter on just the nose and glitter on the lights.  I hope you have fun with this rendition of my Rudolph!

Best regards,
Brenda aka Binky the Face Painter
