This festival offers an opportunity to show the public that painting faces means more than cheek designs, yeah, it can be art. So we started this competition in 2006 with a mixture of pro-contests and school-contests. We decided to support teenagers and had them compete in their own contests in order to raise a new generation of facepainters that has a new and “innocent” approach.
