Hello face painting friends one and all….last week I uploaded a slide show with photos of myself in body paint (and of others) that many of you saw… now while the majority of the comments and feedback were very positive and people enjoyed the artwork (painted by Mark Reid, Yolanda Bartram and Lynne Jamieson) and my ‘attempt’ at modelling, I did receive an email from a blog reader who had a totally different view - which really interested me.
I won’t give away this person’s identity but I did want to discuss her view, to see if anybody agrees / disagrees or has something to add. Firstly I’ll say that she was completely kind and polite in her email, and wrote to me because she was truly concerned and I totally respect her efforts — especially since her view doesn’t seem to be too popular in this circle, and its hard for people to say what they believe when its not popular, you know?
She was bothered by the fact that I modelled for an artist (who is not my spouse) in the ‘nude’ and walked around the convention with only body paint on. She felt it was immoral for me to allow others to view my body like that and informed me of the rammifications of this ’sin’.
Now from what I gathered she is a very conservative person and of a particular faith. Seeing as I am not religious at all, I’d like to ask you, my readers (no matter what faith, or if you don’t have one)
What do you think of this view and what your view is?
I’d really like to hear from people who do have a faith and agree or disagree, and especially from people who share her view but maybe didn’t want to speak up before because it they thought it wasn’t a popular opinion.

Warning: Any offensive comments will be deleted straight away, I want this to be a civilized conversation between people who are connected through one thing that makes them similar - the art of face and body painting.
