Thanks, Kim. That was very informative and a beautiful rose design. The design was so simple! I was amazed! You only used a few colors and brush strokes to make such a lovely rose. I’m going to give that one a try. Thanks, again!

Thanks Kim!
That was a “2 for the price of 1″ tutorial… now I know how to go about making my own split cakes as well! Do you know if your technique of microwaving the paint for a few seconds works well with Snazaroo cakes? I am worried that they will get all crumbly if I try to cut them. Have you had any experience with cutting up Snaz cakes?

nancy- I sent an email directly to you- but for any other readers- I did split Snazaroo with no problem and no need to microwave- I made a mini rainbow cake. I needed to microwave the paradise metallics however- very crumbly!

LOVED it. I only have one suggestion: please load your brush ON CAMERA! Loading a flat brush (or a sponge) properly is as important as applying the paint to the skin. I’m an absolute beginner, so hearing you explain how to do it might not be enough for some of us newbies. Other than that, i loved the tutorial. THANKS!
