A face painting class will be held at 7001 Loisdale Rd, Suite C, Springfield, VA on Aug. 11th from 1-9 P.M. (The building is somewhat by the Springfield Mall, but a bit farther down on the left. The course will cover beginning face painting and go through intermediate, and on to advanced, including the most popular faces I do. Cost is $125 and must be prepaid. Bring your paints, brushes, etc. If you don’t have any, they can be purchased at www.snazaroo.us .

Get in on this class now. Call today….703-560-5596 to get on the class list. I’m going to try to limit this class size to 15. First come, first paid will get priority. (Since I’m paying for the room this time, I must have at least 8 students to make the class a go. I have 3 emails out with this announcement, so hopefully, we’ll get enough.) The first 5 people will get practice heads for free.

We are having our 3rd Monday of the month face painting jam. Absolutely all skill levels are welcome. Please feel free to bring your children (they will probably be painted, too!). Don’t worry if you can’t be there exactly at 6:30. Bring your kit or not. We will have those demonstrating the various designs set up there kits and go from one person to the next. I hope to see many of you there. Looking forward to seeing as many at the jam!

Advanced Studies Face Painting Course at
Advanced Studies 2008 - The Harvest
Fincastle, Virginia, USA

Advanced Studies Face Painting Course. This six hour hands-on progressive face painting course is being offered as part of the Advanced Studies Camp in the Performance Arts and lead by Marcela Murad. It includes instruction on brush and sponge techniques, working with glitter powders and glitter tattoos plus lots of designing ideas that will help you take your face painting to new levels.

Over the last two years we have been preparing the next crop of performing clowns. We started with “Ignite the Fire Within” rekindling the desire to carry the torch of clowning to the next level. We followed that with “Planting the Seeds”, taking new members of the clown community and encouraging them to grow into performers.

“The Harvest ‘08” will be the last of a three-year project - - where we will see the results of the last two years. Each phase - “Ignite the Fire Within”, “Planting the Seeds” and now “The Harvest” has been a complete training program within itself, and this year is no different. If you missed the first years programs, you can catch up with this year’s camp.

I encourage you to come and take advantage of the most incredible staff assembled in the Art of Clowning. I look forward to personally welcoming each one of you to “The Harvest ‘08”.
