It would be very helpful for you to actually demonstrate the use of the product. I use it all the time but I wanted to share with friends and this video isn't much help as it does not show a demonstration of the products. I really love the StarBlend product and recommend it often.

All I want to say is THANK YOU! I use the starblend makeup and I was always wondering if I should use it wet or continue using it dry!

Thanks for helping me make my choice!

I was glad to find this video with your opinion on the Starblend powders. It was very helpful and thorough. I also appreciate your recommendation on the Wolfe Brothers white cake. I'll have to try these products.

Thank you so much! I absolutely need the starblend powders after seeing the quick coverage you achieved! And to not have to wait for the paint to dry is a dream come true. This should cut design time in half! What a great product!

Hi, Good video. Another reason why some don't like Star Blend. . . In the summer the kids faces are wet with sweat. The powder grabs the wet areas and turns darker there. I give them a paper towel to dry their face or dry it my self when using a design that includes powder.
There is also a great battery powered fan at Walmart and sport stores now. About 12" X 12" X 3". It blows hard and it fits on my face paint rolling pouch easy. I put a strap and "Don't Touch" stickers on it. It's narrow so it doesn't take up much room on the table. The batteries last very well too! Great to keep the air moving at me, and if you have your line come from behind you it will hit the next kid you will paint and they can see your painting design in progress for entertainment. Thanks, Debbie

Hi, I watched your Star Blend video. Good! Another note about why some folks might not like it. (I love it ). Especially in Summer kids get wet with sweat and the powder grabs the wet areas and turns a darker shade thus making it not as pretty. So I recommend giving them a paper towel to dry their faces. Thanks, Debbie AKA Daisy

Hello and thankyou to everyone who's left comments out there so far...claire sunderland, jenny, Amanda Havelin, Debbie, Stephanie, Cindy Ohlmann, Cindy Ohlmann, Jo Tomlinson, Jayne Cornish, Rose Herren, Esperanza Martinez and Sally Dwyer!

Glad you enjoyed the video and the blog :-)

Now to answer some questions...

*** Jenny asked "Does the Mehron face powder rub off easily? "

Good question! For me, I needed to use a bit of soap and it came off fine, not as quickly as cake paints, but still pretty easy to wash off with soap.

*** Debbie asked: "I was also wondering how much you charge customers, I was charging $2 half face and 4$ whole face. what do you charge?"

*And Rose Herren asked "do you have something I can go my for prices."
Check out these posts I wrote on the topic:
http://facepaintingtips.com/blog/2008/01/29/how-much-should-i-charge-for-face-painting-part-1/
http://facepaintingtips.com/blog/2008/02/05/how-much-should-i-charge-for-face-painting-part-2/
http://facepaintingtips.com/blog/2008/02/12/how-much-should-i-charge-for-face-painting-part-3/

*** Cindy asked: "How well does it stay on?"
I've found it stays on just as long and weel as cake paints!

*** Jo Tomlinson asked: "I’d like to give Wolfe Bros. a try, (you mention them in your video) but have heard they can be hard to wash off, which is always a concern of parents. Would the application of a barrier cream prior to painting help?"

I've found that Wolfe Bros comes off fine with soap and water. Bur test it out on your skin, and test it with a barrier cream to see if there's really any big difference I say.

*** Esperanza Martinez asked: "I’d also like to know if you prefer wolk bros. to snazaroo."

I love them both, but I prefer using Wolfe Bros for their white cake paint. Its very strong and great for doing linework and detail over other colors.

Happy Face Painting Everybody :-)
