Children’s Face Painting – Why Do They Love It? Open Mic

by Philadelphia from FacePaintingTips.com on August 29, 2007

Children’s face painting – it’s ever so popular, where ever there’s children, and a face painting booth, there’s bound to be a line of excited children waiting to get their faces painted!

But why do children love face painting so much?

children’s face paintingWell, children definately crave attention and face painting gives one on one attention (that sadly due to the busy nature of society these days) they might not get that often. It makes them feel special, even if it’s only for 5 minutes, it can make a big difference in a child’s day.

It also lets them feel creative, when they get to pick the design and you really involve them in the process by telling them what you’re doing and what you’re going to paint next.

Children’s face painting is also very popular because it can enable them to create a character, and pretend to be that character for a day. They get to explore a different side of themselves, like the princess or the pirate within them!

But why do you think children’s face painting is so popular?

Why do they love it so much…
and which part do you think they enjoy the most?

Face painting is every child’s chance to let their inner beauty out! The princess, the butterfly the hero. They are all there but seldom seen or recognized by our family and friends. Face painters give children a chance to show the world the fascinating inner child that’s in all of us.
